What Our Schools Say

Two pickleball paddles with a logo that reads 'Australian Schools Pickleball League' and a yellow pickleball on a blue and gray court.

Hands down one of the best decisions we've made for school sport. The Australian Schools Pickleball League gave us a genuinely inclusive program, with players of every ability all playing and having fun, backed by supportive coaching. There's a real pathway into the local pickleball scene for those interested, and it's easy to slot into our calendar. We lock them in every year now.

As a busy parent, I found the ASPL tournament a game changer. My son, who usually dislikes school sports, came home excited and called it his favourite sports program ever. The inclusive, easy-to-learn format helped him get involved and stay enthusiastic about school sport.

School Program

Nov 18th & 25th, 2026
Civic Reserve, Mornington

Schools can go head-to-head in inter-school pickleball competition. Students are grouped into round robins based on their ability level, beginner, intermediate or advanced, before progressing to finals, with every student getting genuine game time against players from other schools. Alternatively, schools can enter an entire year level cohort, competing in an inter-school competition.

Holiday Program

Jan 19th, 2026
Civic Reserve, Mornington

A fun-filled session for kids to build their pickleball skills over the school holidays. Starting with coaching on the fundamentals and game knowledge, the day builds up to a mini tournament where kids put their new skills into action. Designed for all skill levels, the session combines learning, teamwork and friendly competition in a fun and supportive environment.

Customised Divisions

At the Australian Schools Pickleball League, we're all about giving every student a place to belong on the court. Whether they're picking up a paddle for the first time, building on skills they already have, or ready to compete at a higher level, our league and holiday programs are built around fun, safety, and genuine inclusion for every ability level.

Data That Tells a Story

In Australia, Pickleball has outperformed traditional sports like Basketball, AFL, and Soccer in percentage growth rate over the last decade, driven by low barriers to entry and rapid court conversion.

The 10-year growth rates generally reflect the period from 2016 to 2026.
